2020 Peugeot 208 Specs, Hybrid & Release Date
The next generation of the 2020 Peugeot 208 subcompact will arrive in 2019 and will be based on a new platform.
At the time of taking over the Opel from General Motors, in 2017, the PSA group had indicated in the shares the key to making the alliance work between its brands (Citroën, DS and Peugeot) and the German one. This strategy will come alive next year when the new generation of the Peugeot 208 will come, which will have the same engines and the same mechanics as the “cousin” Opel Corsa ( here to learn more). But the two cars will be very different on the outside, as can be seen from the Car Scoops spy photos: the Peugeot 208 will have a sloping hood and a large front bezel, well connected to the thin vertical daytime lights.
2020 Peugeot 208 Hybrid Engine
The Peugeot 208, which should arrive around September 2019, it will have only the five-door body and will continue to have a very refined look, especially inside, where the raised dashboard and the small-diameter steering wheel will be shown, which on all the new Peugeot gives the impression of having a steering more direct.
Included in the price or on request you can have different driving assistance systems, including the useful automatic emergency braking. Even the Peugeot 208 should have a version driven by the electric motor, already confirmed for the Corsa, but alternatively, there will be the more conventional 3-cylinder petrol 1.2 and 4-cylinder diesel 1.5. On the floor of Peugeot 208 will be obtained a compact crossover heir of 2008.
