2020 Renault Captur: Specs, Platform, Release Date
The New generation of the Renault Captur should arrive around July 2019. Here’s how 2020 Renault Captur could be.
Heir to the current Renault Captur launched in 2013 and has become the best-selling of its class in Europe, the new generation will retain a gritty and youthful appearance. The French company has decided not to overturn the style of its “bestseller”, as seen from our reconstruction ( in the drawing above ), but to evolve it on the basis of greater care and sophistication: the typical elements of the Renault, like the large mask with the emblem of the house in the center, the thin C-shaped lights and the shaped band. Even the dimensions of the Renault Captur 2019 should not change much, which should remain about 411 cm long, in line with rivals Kia Stonic, Peugeot 2008 and Seat Arona.
2020 Renault Captur Specs
From the 2020 Renault Captur await improvements especially inside, where will be present the digital instrumentation and higher quality materials, which together will make the interior look better and in step with the times.
You should not miss the useful sliding rear sofa, with which you can adjust the space for passenger legs or luggage: it is thanks to this solution if today the Renault Captur has one of the most extensive trunks in the category (from 377 to 1,235 liters).
The platform and the mechanics of the new Captur will be shared with the Renault Clio (of which in 2019the fifth generation will come) and will be an evolution of today’s ones, which excludes the presence of four-wheel drive. It should be confirmed the recent 1.3-cylinder 1.3-cylinder petrol engine with 116 hp and the 1.5 diesel combined with a small electric motor to create a lightweight hybrid system that can reduce consumption and emissions in the city.
The area in which we will probably see the biggest news is that of onboard driving assistance technology , a field technology, current Renault Captur is decidedly lacking. So, on the new generation, let’s expect those devices that are considered indispensable on a modern car, such as automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control with braking control and lane keeping system.
